This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school and students are so close to my heart! This school is a Title 1 school and most of the families cannot afford books on their own. They rely heavily on school and the library to have these available for their children to use. Therefore, the teachers put a lot of their own funds into the supplies. This is okay because we want to do it for our sweet students, as they matter the most.

My Project

My students are so very creative but being a Title 1 school our budget doesn't allow for them to have most of the supplies that are needed for them to create works of art that they can feel confident about. They would love to be able to enter into art contests and such but we are so limited to our supplies. The scissors and such that we have a very old and do not work well. The gift of some great supplies would give them the wonderful opportunity to create!
