My Students

"If you can dream it, you can do it." Every day, I see almost a hundred students who have big dreams to improve the world. Will you help them learn how to plan and implement a life-changing project?

My 7th grade students attend a small public school in a vibrant, loving community.

They face financial challenges with an unmatched tenacity and don't let language differences become a barrier. If you visit, you'll be inspired by my students' smiling faces as they learn how to make the world a better place. Our school stakeholders - students, families, teachers, and supportive community members - work tirelessly to overcome budget deficiencies and provide our students, our future, with the best education possible.

My Project

Good intentions alone do not change the world, and students must learn basic project management skills in order to carry out their goals. We will be using an online resource, www.PlayInterroBang.com. The site lets students choose and complete "missions" in the categories of Creativity, Culture, Exploration, Science, and Service Learning. After designing a plan, students complete and submit their work, carefully following a rigorous rubric. I am requesting a digital camera and memory card because students must upload pictures of their finished work. Imagine the images that the camera lens will see in just the first week! Your contribution will encourage students to design and follow through with relevant, inspiring plans while building the skills they need to solve the big problems in the world.

My students have already created a list of problems that they'd like to solve, from revising the school uniform regulations to ending child slavery.
