This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If you would have the pleasure to meet my enthusiastic, creative, and hard-working students you would be amazed. They are always so happy to enter our classroom and be engaged in hands-on activities in science. In math, they always have group discussions to explain their strategies. They are always willing to help and count on each other. Join us in our journey of "growing up" so one day we can be as generous as you are and give back to others.
My Project
Help give my students a take-along math kit to foster independence as well as paper so we can create our own t-shirts, personalized bags, and other items within the classroom. The students will use the math kit for skill practice both inside and outside the classroom. Learning with their hands and physically manipulating materials challenges the students with purposeful practice.
Students will create artwork that will help them develop social-emotional skills.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student independence but also their creativity. You will ultimately help to increase their academic achievements as well self-esteem, fostering a sense of belonging.
