This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I truly enjoy watching my students grow and discover new things. They never fail to bring a sense of wonder and excitement to our school, and their enthusiasm for learning is contagious.
The college pennants I’m requesting will help our students see that higher education is something they can aim for.
Having these pennants in our Tiger Den and throughout the school will create an environment where our students can imagine themselves in college one day. This might seem far off to them right now, but it’s important to start planting those seeds early. It will help them see college as a real possibility, not just an abstract idea.
My goal for this project is to inspire my students to believe in their future and start thinking about what comes next after elementary school. I want them to feel that the path to higher education is open to them and that they can be a part of it, no matter their background.
What makes my students special is their curiosity and their eagerness to learn. Many of them don’t always see college as a possibility in their immediate future, so giving them visual reminders of different colleges and careers will help them dream big and believe in themselves. This small addition to our school could make a big difference in how they view their own potential.
