Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching art during distance learning has been a challenge. I teach a great bunch of kids who want to make art. They love to draw, paint, print and explore. Creating art in the classroom was a blast.
However, many of my students don't have art supplies to really explore and create art at home.
I want my students distance learning to have the same caliber and quality as it has been at school.
My Project
With the fear that we may not be able to return to campus, I still want to give my students a first-class art experience. I am asking for a set of graphite pencils for each one of my students.
This set of pencils will allow my students to learn how to draw, shade, and create even if they can not come into the classroom.
When the students do eventually return they will still have their own set of pencils that will not need to be shared to help prevent the spread of germs.
