My Project

As this school year is nearing the end. It's time to begin thinking about prepping for back to school supplies for next year.

If you walk into our classroom during writing workshop, you will the students are busy writing.

In third grade, they are beginning to write stories about their experiences, book reviews, how-to books, research and more. Our 3rd graders are authors. Their love for writing is evident as they studiously work their way through the writing process: think of an idea, plan it out, write, write, write, revise, edit and the most anticipated step - PUBLISH! My students look forward to publishing their books, sharing them with classmates and taking them home to show off all of their hard work.

In order to reach this independent step in writing, my students need to have access to writing journals that will support their learning, creativity and give them access to daily writing practice. Also, whiteboard and dry erase markers!

Having access to these writing journals will allow my students to practice writing independently, keep their work organized, share their feelings and gather ideas. That is why I am asking you to help me give my class a variety of journals that will be used daily. Thank you for supporting this project!
