Dramatic Play for Kindergarteners

Help me give my students thematic options for Dramatic Play Centers in Kindergarten.

My Project

I would like to incorporate dramatic play centers into Kindergarten students everyday learning. I have numerous centers already like Doll house/Barbies, Blocks, Art, Puppet Theatre, Legos, Cars/Trains, but they do not focus on particular themes. I would like students to play in a thematic centers that change each month. Center ideas include School, Cafe/Bakery, Camping, Ice Cream Stand, Airport, Fall Harvest and Bugs, On the Farm, Pet Shop, Pizza Shop, and Weather/Season Centers. Olathe adopted a new Reading Curriculum that incorporates many of these thematic ideas as well. I hope that these dramatic play options will encourage students to use their imaginations to role-play and reenact everyday activities and help students learn to communicate better through this kind of play as well.
