My Project
There is a dual language learner and multiple children with delayed speech in my classroom and I would like to get new dramatic play toys, particularly kitchen sets, that we can put in my classroom as well as on the playground. They like to play in the dramatic play area in our classroom and I would like to be able to include dramatic play on the playground as well as inside.
A new dramatic play area inside and outside will help improve the children in my classroom’s language, cognitive skills, social-emotional skills, and math skills.
Last year the playground was renovated with a new jungle gym. Last month my co-teacher and I hung up some pots and pans on one of the gates for a music wall for the children to play with. The children enjoy banging spoons on the pots and pans to explore the various sounds they make. I would really like to add a dramatic play area for the children to play with outside.
