My Project
These supplies will be used to spark the creative imaginations and analytical design minds of beginning design students in a brand-new class. We will use the paper, patterns, measuring pieces, and drawing materials to create multiple scenic designs for new productions at the school and for local middle schools. These designs will be brought to life as they are taken to construct the pieces for the productions. I want to give students the building blocks to drafting, creating blueprints, and opening up their minds to creative ideas in the world of theatrical designs. They continue to bring their talents to both in-class and after-school programs and have grown the program so much that we have added these new classes. I hope to provide them with some generous external support, as I’ve been struggling to fund it out of pocket.
