Drama Props

My students need 22 storytelling kits, puppets and activity sets for popular titles, including The Little Red Hen, The Gingerbread Man, Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?, and Mouse Paint.

I am currently a Full Day Kindergarten teacher and have implemented Literacy Work Stations this year in my classroom.

I would like to provide my students with props that they can use during our Literacy Work Stations, specifically at our Drama Station. We currently have 5 storytelling prop kits and because the students are enjoying them so much, I know 5 will not be enough to keep them interested all year! Each week, we read and enjoy a new Big Book and then place it in our Big Book Station. We place props that match the Big Book in our Drama Station. At this time, we have used the same book for 4 weeks with the same props.

I would like to provide my students with a variety of props for classic stories like "The Little Red Hen," "The Gingerbread Man," and "The Three Little Pigs." I would also like to include some newer stories including "Mouse Paint," "Tops and Bottoms," and "The Jacket I Wear In The Snow." The props would be used everyday by my students to encourage a love of books. I would also like for them to increase their retelling skills as well as critical thinking and sequencing skills.

You will make it possible for my students to enjoy our Drama Station all year long with a variety of new materials to get them excited about reading and books. Help them find a new way to use their oral language skills.
