Drama Club Performance Stage and Storage

My Project

Hello, this is the first of two projects I am requesting. We are a newly restarted drama program. Our small public school of grades 7-12 school includes students from many towns in the area. Our high and intermediate school has about 800 students. Last year we started the drama program after an over 15 year hiatus. We started our first play with just under 15 students, we are now over 30 students! We are fortunate to have an auditorium. Our school is over 135 years old and many of our buildings are considered a historic building. Including our beloved auditorium. Our end style stage is on the smaller side at about 30 ft wide and 20 feet deep. Around the stage are very small wings and green rooms making sets, costume, and piece changes challenging. We started with a budget of $0 and with only 3 costumes and no set pieces. We are fortunate to have an administration team that is supportive to help us start small and build from there. Our first performance was a single one-act. Our second was two separate one-acts. This spring play we are producing is a Two-Act play titled "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" By Don Zoldidis. It requires more lines, more movements, more backdrops, more costumes, and more props than we have. We are building some, community members are making/finding some and we are also budgeted to purchase some. The items here are above our budget and would really help our production!! Please think about helping us out! Appreciated!
