My Project

My students live in low income housing and have experienced a lot of trauma. Most students have food insecurities. Please help my kids keep their brains powered on to learn social and emotional skills as well as school setting learning and DESE learning targets.

I reward students based on a daily check-in point sheet that is used building-wide.

Snacks help encourage students to have more control over situations that can be triggering. I use this time to also help students to make a plan for moments that didn't go well and to celebrate the moments that did.

Students and I both find joy at seeing each other and seeing how our day has gone.
