Dr. Seuss Books Dramatically Raise a Child's Reading Ability!

My students need Dr. Seuss books! Dr. Seuss books are an excellent resource to motivate students to read. They teach fluency and build confidence. My students have grown 2 reading levels or more using Dr. Seuss.

My Students

My third-grade students are eager to learn. They are curious, creative, and have great imaginations even though we are a Title 1 school in a high poverty neighborhood.

School is a safe place and I do my best to make my classroom fun and exciting.

Most of my students live in public housing. Their neighborhoods are rough and school is a place for them to be safe. My class is mostly African American children who face a lot of challenges.

My job as a teacher is to help them overcome these challenges and become the amazing adults I know they can become.

My Project

I have used Dr. Seuss books to increase my student's reading levels dramatically. These books motivate even the most relucatant reader.

Using Dr. Seuss in small reading groups my students have gone from a first grade reading level to a third grade reading level in one year.

Dr. Seuss books teach all the main reading concepts and are an excellent way to teach fluency. The non-fiction book library makes reading non-fiction fun and exciting.

My students beg for these books. These books are so well loved that my classroom library is in need of more of these amazing books. Please help us continue to build our library so they may continue to make amazing progress.
