This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During the pandemic, students did not access the Maker space in our school. Makerspace allows students to create, tinker, and problem-solve while fostering 21st-century skills. Additionally, students from grades K-5 access the Spanish room and hands-on activities. Having additional consumable materials allows for more fun and creative lessons. At our school, students have the opportunity to create their own projects through the use of our Makerspace area in the after-school projects. Students in grades K-5 have access to all the resources in the Maker space and receive instruction for Spanish as a second language.
This classroom project was brought to life by Colorado Department of Education.
