My Project
I am a physical education teacher at a middle school in Harlem. This is my 4th year teaching at the school and I love it. My students' ages range from 6 years old to 16 years old. They are very curious learners and are always eager to learn new skills.
The majority of my students were interested only in playing basketball until I began my soccer unit.
Now they are in love with soccer, and students are able to practice, learn new skills and play soccer in my P.E. class but unfortunately, we do not have proper soccer equipment. Currently, we are using doors as our goal and we are limited to only a few good soccer balls. My students are eagerly wanting to play and learn soccer, some of them even requested to start a soccer team. Therefore, I started a soccer club, and having this new equipment will bring more joy to them and I will be able to accommodate more students. This will also serve as motivation as well. I will also be able to use the goals for other sports such as team handball and hockey. Thank you in advance for rewarding my students! Students are looking forward to using an actual goal instead of my doors. your contribution will give them the chance to learn and play.
