Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are curious, creative, and always eager to engage in learning, even when our classroom resources are limited. They work hard every day to create Spanish group projects even with limited resources such as color paper, scissors and supplies in the classroom.
The Cricut will give students more access to creating personalized templates and projects.
For example:, during their food truck project we struggled to cut logos and templates for the food trucks because we did not have the proper scissors or cutters. The Cricut can be a game changer in our classroom. Not only can it cut templates for group projects but it can also create personalized stickers for labeling and give students pride in what they are creating using technology.
The colored paper and cardstock in bright colors will add excitement to their creative projects and help them stand out. For example, during our business plan project, students created menus, flyers, brochures, and these materials helped their work stand out and give them a sense of pride.
The heavy duty sharpener will help students sharpen their color pencils for their projects, and help them create visuals, and ensure their presentations are polished and professional. The sticker paper will help them create personalized stickers using key vocabulary terms and logos they can use during group work and presentations. They will also be using this to create motivational stickers as a reminder that they are valued at this school.
All of these resources will support my goal of creating a vibrant, engaging Spanish classroom where every student feels valued and ready to learn.
