it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from hardworking families on the West Side of Chicago. They are incredibly bright and have an enormous capacity to learn, to work diligently, and to succeed! I wish to match their incredible efforts with the best possible resources here in our learning community.
At this time, when critical thinking is often disregarded in favor of "alternative facts," my students and I are trying our best each day to promote the crafting of logical claims and the citation of relevant evidence.

My Project
During the Covid-19 pandemic, our school water fountains have been turned OFF to keep everyone safe. We do have a water bottle filling station, but high-quality reusable bottles are cost-prohibitive to some of our student population, and I find that many of our children are going without.
NO child should have to wait hours for a drink of water.
Our kids are terrific about wearing their masks, hand washing, and maintaining social distance. Please help us to provide a reusable water bottle for EVERY child. This project proposal is a simple and equitable solution to just one problem in this current health crisis.
