My Project
I am a Special Education Teacher for high school students ages 14-21. The students in my class have diverse needs that sometimes cause them to be dysregulated. In Special Education, when students are not regulated, it is hard for learning to take place.
When students have strong emotions and, at times, have difficulty expressing their feelings.
The Partition could help the students who might need a quiet, distraction-free space. It also allows for multiple small group or 1:1 lesson to occur simultaneously, without the students distracting one another. This would be beneficial for everyone in my classroom.
