Provide a mechanism for students to really engage in learning. The benefits of the active learning that takes place in a science classroom with laboratory technology is amazing. Through the Omaha Triple Beam Balance Virtual lab, I will be able to better present the lab curriculum
The students at my school in East Texas are great kids.
My students are some of the brightest of their age group. The school itself is located in a rural area. My students haven't had many opportunities to work with virtual labs, so this would give them that opportunity.
My Project
The virtual lab will give my students the opportunity to use a lot of the same techniques and technology that real engineers use. The hands on experience the kids will get is huge. I hope that some of the students will become intrigued to pursue engineering. They will learn relationships between mass, volume, and density.
