This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the new year is in full swing, we want to make sure our science lab is fully stocked. These supplies will help ensure a fun and engaging experience is had by all. The materials requested will help facilitate several different hands-on learning experiences for students.
My students are of mixed learning levels and for many, English is not their native language.
Science and hands-on experiments/investigations help students thrive and find success that they may not have in other subject areas because of the language barrier. Owl Pellets is a very popular lab that students look forward to participating in. Creating a cloud in a bottle always elicits screams of excitement and creating circuits is always a crowd-pleaser. All three of these labs, provide endless curiosity, new vocabulary, and a boundary-free learning experience.
I am always in awe of the hard work and dedication my students demonstrate when they come to me for science. I am so proud of their work ethic and their appreciation for the hands-on opportunities they get in the science lab. These materials will definitely play a part in their success in science this year.
