it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Pre-K class is composed of 18 adorable, energetic, eager to learn four year olds. For this class project, “Don’t BLOCK Our Learning In Our Pre-K Block Center,” I am asking for hollow blocks and cardboard blocks. These materials will make a difference in my students’ learning because they will be learning skills such as planning and problem solving. They will also be strengthening their fine and gross motor skills. They will be learning beginning math as they use blocks of different colors, shapes and sizes to make their buildings. They will also learn about balancing. The children can count how many blocks they used to make their building. All of this talk helps build their oral language. Finally, the children in the block center will be developing socially by learning skills such as turn taking, sharing and playing fair. Please help me help my students acquire these very important skills through block play.
