I teach the best group of 3rd graders on the planet! We are a title one school with the majority of our students on free or reduced lunches.
I believe that music is the key to teaching. I recently got to go and tour the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. Seeing how these children learned and grew because of music in the classroom just inspired me. However, my class has grown tired of listening to ME try to sing. They are ready for the next step, but my funding is not.
This is why I NEED Dr. Jean! These super-silly songs help to teach key concepts in classrooms. The children do not even realize that they are learning while they sing and dance. The Dr. Jean library incorporates interactive learning and music skills that are needed in the every day classroom.
I know that without you this wonderful music library will not be possible. Please don't be mean..help us get DR JEAN!!!
