Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Telling Time is a challenging part of first grade curriculum. According to our South Carolina State Math Standards, first graders should be able to tell time to the hour and half hour. Of course I have tons of worksheets with little printed clocks and stationary hands, but those sheets simply do not meet the varied needs of my diverse class. We have recently been learning as a faculty about Differentiated Teaching and I think these LakeShore Learning Clocks and Teacher clock will aide me in teaching the different types of learners in my class how to tell time. The clocks have movable hands so the children can set the times themselves. The clocks also have a digital clock flip board attached to each one. These clocks would be a great addition to my divergent learning classroom.
