This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember ever going to class hungry when you were a child? Well, this is a reality for my sixth-grade learners. Every day, I have students who come to school hungry between breakfast and lunch. Even though these items are provided to students, they sometimes have trouble focusing and concentrating between meals.
Help me to provide snacks and incentive treats to my hardworking sixth graders to build strong classroom culture and support their nutrition needs.
When students can focus, concentrate, and have provided snacks in the classroom, this builds a strong classroom culture and builds successful learning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
