This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Children's Hospital of Orange County has wishlist items posted on their website. These gifts range from toys to children's books, to books for parents, all with the purpose of providing for patients staying at their hospital.

This project looks to provide items directly from the hospital wishlist to be donated from our class to CHOC.

In addition to requesting a books for children, there are a few books to donate for parents to read as well. The card stock and envelopes will allow us to create notes of encouragement to be delivered, along with the books. The funding of this project will allow students to feel like they are delivering a dose of love and kindness to families in need of a wellness boost. I have no doubt that this will promote empathy and inspire our students to look to do more to help those around them.
