This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class is a family of beautiful, diverse learners. They are full of smiles, determination, silliness and unwavering love. Students in my classroom face intellectual, physical and emotional challenges every day but they never give up. When they can't verbally communicate, they find a way. They find a way to show how much they care.
My students possess beautiful strengths and aspire to make the world a better place.
With this project, I hope to provide dolls and Barbies that look just like my students, people of all colors and abilities! My students who rock an extra chromosome will finally get to play with a doll that looks just like them! They will dress up beautiful brown dolls who are boys, girls, in wheelchairs, with glasses and all different types of hair!
