This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My pre-k students are in their first year of a pre-k through fifth grade, Spanish Immersion program. The students come from English, Spanish and other language backgrounds. Our wonderful program has been in existence since the early 1990's but added pre-k in 2004. It is a unique opportunity to learn a second language while focusing on social emotional development and kindergarten readiness in a public school setting. Our goal is to foster bilingualism, biliteracy and biculturalism that will last our students a lifetime.

My Project

My students love playing with our little doll house but it is old, small and outdated and does not have the right sized people to place in it.

A three story doll house will be an exciting addition to our free choice activities and a great way for young children to practice social skills and build language together.

The kids will love the new furniture and endless possibilities to arrange it in the doll house.

I would also love to have the multicultural dolls to choose from, so that children can see themselves represented in the dramatic play they are creating.
