My fourth graders are creative and curious individuals who love their IB school in a bustling urban neighborhood.
Inquiry-based learning means that each student is responsible for numerous group and individual projects every day. This year, we want to have a place for every child to keep his or her own work.
My Project
Having an organization center will support the fourth graders as they assume more and more responsibility for their own learning and for taking care of themselves. The students will be able to maintain materials in their individual cubbies in an organized way.
Students have planners, notebooks, reading materials, drafts, and communication folders to maintain.
The classroom organizer will support the students' efforts to stay on top of their "stuff" and will provide a nice, personal filing space for students in my classroom this year and for years to come.
