The students in my Kindergarten classroom are a creative, hard-working, curious, thoughtful, and adventurous group of children. Always eager to learn the moment they enter the classroom as they look to the daily agenda to see what the day will be and then...we are off and learning with days filled with exploration, invention, reading, creative expression, practice, and thoughtfulness. I am looking to make their learning experience even more engaging by adding learning tools for the classroom through DonorsChoose.org donations.
My Project
My students love to be creative! They have shown just how creative they can be through art, science, writing, and math! Now we are ready to take on a new creative classroom venture...culinary arts! With a new toaster oven, kid-safe cutting knives, super safe oven mitts, and cooking utensils, my class will be prepared to take charge of their culinary imaginations! Our nutrition teacher has already supplied us with nutritious (but fun) recipes we can read, culinary vocabulary cards, aprons, and kid sized cutting boards --- all we need are the items in this project to complete our culinary creation station! Who knows where this project will take us! Perhaps my class has the next generation Julia Child or Emeril Lagasse just waiting to find their introduction into the culinary world!
