My students need to wear the appropriate sized uniforms to school on a daily basis.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Covert's classroom raised $208

My Students
I teach a group of 25-30 third graders in a high poverty district where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. The teachers supply most of the materials for instruction. They are at that age where they "want" everything, but the parents just can't afford it.
Uniforms are mandatory!
I was so glad when that rule took affect, so everyone would be dressed the same, but we have parents who can not afford to buy them for their children and they come to school unprepared and they stand out due to what they do wear to school.
My Project
The students at my school are very transient and I may only have them for a short period of time. Students need to feel that they "fit in" with the other students and without wearing a uniform they stand out.
How do I look?
Students do not want to feel they are different, but so many of the students' parents can not purchase uniforms every time they move so when they enter my room they may have hand me downs which do not fit correctly or that are stained. I want them to feel successful and part of that is looking good!
