My Project
Hello, my name is Julia Tesh and I love being a teacher (and student) of art! I have loved art ever since I was little and I love being able to share the experience now students. My children are K-5th grade and very eager to learn and grow from the arts! I teach at a great school in Winston Salem, NC but we struggle with a very small PTA. With little parent interaction (since most are working several jobs to support their family) it can be financially challenging to hold events that need extra funds. My Administration is kind to help out however they can financially, but pulling off this huge night is something donors can make a huge difference with! I really appreciate you!
At the end of March, we will celebrate students and their art with our 5th Annual Art Night!
My students have been learning about art and culture from around the world and this night is the product of what they have learned about and created! There are craft stations led by faculty relating to cultural arts or subjects around the world. Students decorate a bag that they stuff with their make-n-take crafts and mementos. I love this night too because I get to see former students and upcoming students who are younger siblings. This is truly such a beautiful night because what everyone witnesses is the beauty of ART and getting to SHARE it with others!
Some of my families don't have a lot but they have an immense love for their children and this night is a great way to commemorate that love! Please help me make this year another successful night! Thank you so much! These materials will be used at the craft stations representing the 7 continents we learned about in art!
