Document Camera

My students need document camera for my classroom in order to demonstrate their work and I can do whole group instruction and formative assessments. I will be able to model skills and strategies.

My Students

I am a 6th Grade Science teacher in a Title One school. We love to do whole group class discussions and demonstrations of student work everyday. My students are mostly visual learners. I would like my students to be able to show their work and take pride in their learning and success in class.

We are a Title One school in one an urban area where most students receive free lunch.

I have 38 students in a class and some come with many disabilities. My students love to explore and work together in groups and learn from each other. They are energetic and love to use technology to demonstrate their work.

My Project

My students will be able to use document camera in the classroom to demonstrate their work, and as a teacher I will be able to model skills and strategies for the whole class. My students will be able to show their work on the board will the help of document camera and will be able to take ownership and pride in what they have done. I will also be able to enlarge student work. It's also going to help my visual learners to see and show their work. It will help to increase classroom participation and student engagement, which in turn will help to increase student scores.

I appreciate those who are willing to donate a document camera to my classroom.

I know that students will be engaged and it will benefit my visual learners a lot. They will be able to understand the scientific concepts better, and thus help to improve classroom instruction.
