This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are fun-loving, curious, and always excited! They genuinely love the adventure of learning and find joy in each day at school—even if it's just the fact that it's pizza day for lunch! My friends come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but they don't let that get in the way of the hard work they have to do.
They are readers, authors, rappers, dancers, artists, and musicians.
They are diverse, multi-faceted, and have much more to offer our world than many give them credit for.
My Project
My students need structure in order to find the most success. They have been struggling with keeping their papers organized and understanding how to structure their work so that it benefits them in the long-run. Although I try my best to model my expectations on a small journal or on the white board, it is simply not enough to ensure that they can effectively use their notes when they're studying for tests or preparing for writing assignments. The document camera and stand would give me and my students the ability to project examples of model work and work through tough passages as a group. It would also be a great opportunity to have students showcase their knowledge to the rest of the class. It would be a great benefit to my students!
