Document Camera for 2021 Learning

Help me give my students a document camera to complete live worksheets, manipulate materials for Math and Language Arts and model writing.

My Students

Our school is located in Queens, New York. We come from a culturally diverse area and work to provide equal opportunities for all! The students at my school are young, energetic, and eager to learn. Nothing makes me happier than watching them grow each and every day.

Many of the students in my class are former or current English Language Learners, all of whom struggle with various disabilities.

My goal is to create an equitable and organized in-person and remote classroom to invite students to learn in a relaxing digital environment.

Just like so many schools around, we will be using a Blended Learning Model, so part of the time, students will be working remotely from home.

My Project

A document camera is such an essential tool for teachers to model instruction for all learners in the 21st century. Our students thrive on visuals, picture support and modeling to better grasp the concepts. The Elmo document camera would be our classroom document camera when we are learning in school and also used during distance learning.

The Elmo document camera will make picture books and various documents enlarged when used with a smart board.

Due to social distancing guidelines set by CDC, students are spread all around the classroom which makes seeing things harder for some students.
