it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of active and outgoing students who always want to share their work. The problem is this takes a long time because only one or two students can see someones work at a time. Help us display our learning with a document camera stand that will allow us to turn our IPad into a doc cam.
This document camera stand and connector will greatly benefit the learning of my second graders who come from a variety of backgrounds in Charlotte, NC.
Second grade is such an important time of learning and growth--my students come eager and excited to learn every day! Technology is a great and highly motivating tool to use in education and it's amazing how engaged my students are when we use technology to learn! This ties in the importance of technology and student interaction and communication that is seen in the common core standards and the 21 century skills our students need.
My Project
Document cameras are wonderful tools, but are also quite expensive. So when I heard at a training about the tablet stand, I was very excited to find out that I could turn our classroom iPad into a document camera for a fraction of the cost! This document stand will be used during lessons for teaching concepts through demonstrations and it will allow the entire class to interact with stories, student work, and information that they would not be able to see without the projection of a document camera onto our board. Also a great tool for readers workshop and interactive read alouds. Students learn best through seeing and doing: this document camera stand and cable will allow them to do both!
