My students need document cameras because it allows me to take what used to be individual assignments and turn them into class assignments, creating more discussion, interaction, and maintaining students' attention.

My Students

As a public charter school, I get the opportunity to teach such an amazing group of students with economically and culturally diverse backgrounds. With our Project Based Learning motto, I design engaging projects for my students to not only help them dig into the curriculum but focus on real-world context and problems they may come across in their everyday lives. We are far from a traditional set up and I get to work with as many as 80+ students a day.

My Project

Having access to a document camera allows me to pull up assignments on the board which creates more discussion and interaction within the classroom.

This also gives the learners an opportunity to share their ideas and findings with their peers to promote classroom discussions.

This extra piece of technology will allow students to follow along to gain a better understanding of the information being given and taught. The document cameras can be used as a variety of tools such as a graphing, highlighting, test review, display and discussion tool. It's a modernized approach to an overhead which I highly took for granted. Thanks for all your help!
