My students need Boogie Boards to do their work. Buying markers for mini-whiteboards are expensive to replace. The Boogie Boards will save money and it's a green product.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students work in different areas of my classroom. I have a section for students to work directly with me (direct instruction), a section for students to work with a partner (peer instruction), and a section for students to work independently (no instruction). It is a blended learning environment.
My students attend a technical high school.
The majority of my students receive free or reduced priced lunch (more than half). They come from seven different towns and have a wide range of mathematical abilities. Some students come from rural areas, suburban areas, or urban areas.
My Project
The students will use the materials to complete their daily work. I teach mathematics and for some reason they are highly motivated to do their work on mini-whiteboards with dry erase markers. I figure with the Boogie Boards it will be the same except that there will be no need to worry about buying markers for the students.
This project will help my students reach their goal this year.
They are currently working with an online mathematics program and they need to learn 234 topics this school year. So far we have been doing great on progress, we are at about 84 already, and this would be a great reward for the students for their efforts so far. Further, my students will be required to do projects throughout the school year such as the one seen in the picture. Boogie Boards will be very helpful in the design process.
