This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very eager to learn and super appreciative of kind gestures and deeds. Many of them are learning English as a second language and all of them qualify for free breakfast and lunch daily.
I’m requesting materials that students can take home to continue their learning with family members.
The Popcorn Sight Word game has been a very popular choice for my students in the past. It’s been a very engaging way for students to develop sight word fluency without even knowing they are learning!
I would love for my current students to have the opportunities to borrow these games to take home and play with their families. It will be such a fun way for them and their siblings to develop sight word fluency, which is an important literacy skill.
