My students have diverse backgrounds. Between 68%-71% of my students come from homes with a low socioeconomic status.
Despite difficulties they face each day at home, they prove themselves over and over again in their effort and test scores.
They are eager to please and often want to expand upon what they are being taught. They do this by asking questions, conducting research, working in small groups, and creating projects to go along with the lessons they have been taught.
My Project
There have been numerous times I have wanted to share pages from a book, my reading journal, or an interactive notebook with my students. Having an interactive document camera will allow me to do this quickly and efficiently and will help me share in a very timely manner.
Having this technology will allow me to showcase exemplary writing examples with my students on the whiteboard.
Students will also love showing what they know as they work under the camera and show their knowledge to their classmates. They are always eager to share and many times other students can learn so much more from their peers!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
