My Students

Our school is located near a shelter which provides services for domestic violence and assault survivors. Our school boundaries also encompass subsidized housing units, so many students come to our school with physical and emotional challenges. Students in my fifth-grade class are eager to learn and take risks. We practice leadership skills and each student sets goals and has responsibilities to help them strive to do their very best. We are learning new technology to help us be ready to succeed in the 21st Century and want to have choice and options that help each student learn in an individualized, comfortable, welcoming environment.

My Project

Students will use headphone devices to dictate and listen to audio recordings, and books online. The headphone devices will give students better learning instruction and allow them to respond without background interference. It will hair in helping students who have not mastered keyboarding skills.

Our devices are not touch screen and it is difficult for students to manipulate the small touch pad.

Wireless mice will greatly improve response ability

We need some fun and laughter in the classroom. A Karaoke device is just what we need to improve our social and emotional environment.
