My Students
My school is a public charter school providing students (learners) in grades 6-8 a hands-on STEAM, aerospace-focused, and project-based curriculum. We are the first school in the nation to be located right at an airport in Englewood, Colorado. Our learners come from all over the Denver area, from Franktown to Aurora to Arvada and beyond. This diversity brings different perspectives to our classrooms. Some of our learners have been homeschooled and some are just looking for a different type of school and have found their home at CSA!
Our learners are creative thinkers and very excited about learning!
Our curriculum focuses on core academic competencies, in addition to key focus areas that will prepare learners for promising careers in aerospace and technology. I teach all grade levels Exploratory/STEAM.
My Project
This year has been difficult on everyone. We are hoping to end the year with a social distance school dance, filled with basic supplies for our bellies. Snacks and a donut party, what fun will that be?
Our learners have worked SO hard this year and deserve to have snacks to fill their bellies at home and school.
The donuts will be used for a celebration morning for great behavior and school attendance, and the granola bars and chips will be used for our school dance and to reward students for hard work through PBIS.
The sharpies will be used to label school supplies as we finish out the year and the art project as a reward.
