My Students
My students never stop moving! My biggest challenge is providing outlets for their sensory needs.
Our class is located in a small elementary school in Upstate South Carolina.
The students in my class are an amazing group of boys who have a variety of special needs. They each have unique abilities and their fair share of struggles: sensory processing, language delays and more.
My Project
My students need 6 cans of thinking putty with a organizer to store it, and 3 wobble chairs. By adding wobble chairs and a supply of thinking putty my students will be able to fulfill a variety of sensory needs. Wobble chairs will provide my students with the ability to move and wiggle while working at a table or desk. This amazing assortment of thinking putty will really pull double duty by giving my students a tool for strengthening their hands and fingers while also providing an opportunity for increased focus.
This amazing combination of sensory tools for my classroom will give my sensory seeking students opportunities to fulfill their need to move and fidget in a productive and non-distracting way.
