My Students

Each of my students at UCW are different in their own special way. To know these students, is to love these students. They keep us as staff motivated and on our toes. The knowledge that these students have is unmeasurable. My goal is to make sure that this knowledge and gained experience is guided in the direction that result in overall and long-term wellness.

My Project

By creating hygiene stations in each classroom setting, we are looking to encourage students to be both resourceful and independent. These, amongst other social skills exercised around the hygiene stations such as self advocacy and self-care prepare students navigate their needs in ways that result in solution.

By providing these stations in each class setting, we realize that students cherish the relationships and connections that are formed with different staff members.

Hygiene stations are crucial because they support student's readiness and willingness in the learning atmosphere. We are looking for these hygiene stations to provide safe spaces in each classroom. In these safe spaces there are supplies, teachers/staff who are aware and who care, and classmates who are all different, but with similar struggles.
