My class is in a very dangerous neighborhood. The area is infiltrated with drugs and violence. My school is located in South Carolina. The class is 99% African American. The students all qualify for free or reduced lunch. They are hugable and lovable. They love being the center of attention.
We have no camera that shoots school photos. We have no color printer to print photos on. We want to create science and math rap song books using pictures of ourselves. The literacy level is extremely low. They desperately want to learn.
We will take photos of the science and math shapes around us to make math and science rap sing a long books. We will print the books on hp paper, on an hp printer. We will use the digital camera to collect pictures of shapes that are located in our class and at school. We will create the books and print them out to all to sing to. In this way we will be moving, listening, writing and seeing geometric shapes and science concepts.
Together we will improve math and science scores. These donations will literally change a child's life and allow them to be hands-on in a fun way. You can help make that change in a child's life. Please donate to this great project.
