This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students want to learn to play music on an instrument. Due to limited resources, this can often only happen with some of the students in the class while others wait for their turn. With the addition of these handbells, more students will be able to learn together as a whole class.
This opportunity will help them to learn to play as an ensemble and builds their self-esteem both personally and musically.
As the students progress, they will be able to build musicianship and become more successful musicians.
Students will also learn responsibility by caring for the bells and learn how to properly put them away after use. Additionally, the chromatic scale (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la ti, do) will be constantly reinforced when learning new songs in the songbooks requested as well as various teaching materials purchased by Teachers Pay Teachers with the gift certificate.
