Help me give my students the opportunity to engage in personalized digital learning while not disturbing the rest of the class, as well as the opportunity to listen to themselves read in order to improve their fluency.

My Students
My students are little sponges who are so excited to be learning how to read in order to discover many worldly concepts. They understand the need to be kind and caring toward others and demonstrate this. Additionally they will share that we have rules and procedures “so we can all be safe and have fun while we are learning” like when we are gardening, cooking or doing special art projects. We utilize every minute of every day to engage in learning while at school each day. And despite being a high poverty Title I urban school, where parents work varied shifts and multiple jobs and can not physically be at school often, our class has a lot of behind the scenes parental support.
My Project
Students are able to read, code, work on math skills/problem solving, write stories and do a plethora of learning on their iPads and technology at school. With even just a handful of students working on the technology in a classroom, the noise level can be distracting which makes it difficult for students to focus on teacher-led lessons. Headphones will remove the disruptions to our group learning and will help students remain focused on their own digital tasks. Since students are working at varying stages of development with their literacy skills-some need letter sound repetition activities, others need books read to them and some students can do research independently on topics about which they would like to learn. A gift of headphones would allow my students to remain engaged in meaningful educational activities. Over the head earphones are necessary for hygiene reasons as well since students will share them with a partner.
