Dixon Daily News Broadcast Equipment

My students need a camcorder, tripod, and case. Our goal is to produce a daily news program and share it through live streaming to our entire school each school morning.

My Students

Each morning the student news team will share the news with our entire school. Our students are becoming leaders within our school environment!

Our students are motivated young leaders, who are excited to begin to share their talents through this daily news program.

Many of our students are from the fishing community near Bayou La Batre, AL. Our area student graduation rate has been low in the past, and we are working to motivate students to continue their education.

My Project

Each day, with the guidance of a teacher on the News PLT, the students will update a SMART board file with the daily news to serve as a teleprompter. The student video-grapher will video and stream the student anchors presenting the news. Our student council is eager to get this show on the road.

We hope to motivate and improve the leadership skills of our students, and increase the graduation rate of this area.

We are beginning "The Leader in Me" program. This builds leadership skills among young people, and teaches them to make decisions that will impact the community for the better!
