My Project
Giving our pre-k students the gift of learning about climate and the environment is one of the most valuable educational experiences you can provide. Even at their young age, children are naturally curious about the world around them. By introducing basic concepts about weather, seasons, plants, animals, and natural resources in an age-appropriate way, you can foster a lifelong interest in and appreciation for the environment.
Hands-on activities, nature walks, gardening projects, stories, and simple experiments can all help make learning about climate and the environment fun and engaging.
As the students observe clouds, feel the wind, plant seeds, watch them grow, and explore the outdoor world with all their senses, they begin building a foundation of knowledge about the cycles of nature and the interconnectedness of living things. This early exposure to environmental education can instill in them a sense of wonder and responsibility for taking care of the planet that will serve them well throughout their lives.
