This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright individuals with a growing passion for learning. I love their enthusiasm and their willingness to engage with new challenges. This project aims to deepen their reading comprehension and written communication skills. Providing a class set of the novels will allow us to embark on a shared reading adventure.
Reading together fosters rich discussions, builds a sense of community, and allows all students to access the same text, regardless of their independent reading levels.
We will explore its themes, characters, and literary elements as a class.
Organized book storage will create an accessible and inviting classroom library. Handwriting packs will provide a structured and consistent way for students to respond to comprehension and critical thinking questions about the novels. Clear handwriting practice reinforces their fine motor skills and legibility, ensuring their thoughtful answers are easily understood.
By providing these novels, organized storage, and handwriting support for their responses, you will be empowering my students to become more confident readers. Thank you for helping us build a strong foundation in literacy!
