My Students
Imagine walking into kindergarten without any preparation. No interaction with other kids, classrooms or teachers. Scary, huh? My classroom helps prepare students so they do not have to be overwhelmed in a new environment. I help these students form their basic and fundamental skills before jumping into the big world of general education kindergarten.
The students in my classroom vary in skill levels, age, gender, and race.
However, they all share one thing in common. They are so excited to learn!
My Project
My students need a movable room divider to help with maintaining boundaries and attending to tasks. Many of my students are easily distracted, become over stimulated, and have difficulty remaining with the group during large and small group instruction. A room divider would create a physical boundary to promote to remain in a single area. It would also create a visual barrier between them and the rest of the classroom. This will allow them to concentrate instead of fixating on other items in the classroom. The room divider is also light weight and allows us to use it in different locations throughout the classroom. Students will be able to learn for efficiently and remain on task with the help of a room divider.
